Immediate Need In Nepal!!

Merry Christmas!!

We want to share an immediate need that is in Nepal right now. Pastor Bhim Thapa and Pastor KB Basel are two of the main Pastor's we work with in Nepal. They are in a continuous effort to reach all of Nepal with the Gospel as fast as possible. There is much uncertainty in Nepal as far as future freedom for the Church. That is why right now the door is open and many new works are being birthed on a weekly basis. Jesus said that we must work while it is light for the darkness will come. These two powerful ministries have shared a need that we pray will be met before we arrive in Nepal on January 23rd.

Below is the is a portion of the email Pastor KB sent to us showing the churches that are under construction in the mid-western region of Nepal. The Dailekh church, as he mentioned is very important, as it is a center for reaching out into many unreached villages. The Rajapur Island work continues to grow and this will greatly benefit the expansion of the ministry on this island on the Karnali River. The Kapilvastu and Dang churches are part of the fastest growing areas of Gospel Assembly. There is also a mission house being constructed in the Dang district to help with long term ministry work. This will allow for longer visits to that area as hotels and home accommodations are very limited. The photos show the recently completed Lamahi Church building.

Pastor Bhim Thapa has been reaching out to the Ilam district in eastern Nepal and has planted a church in the Sindhupalchok district of Northern Nepal near the China border. There is a church under construction in both places and the cost to cover both of these buildings is 8,000 dollars. They are already working on both as the photo shows Pastor Bhim with a tree that was cut for the building and also rocks being gathered.

The total cost of these current projects is app. 46,000 dollars of which 31,000 has been designated and sent for these works this week!! PTL! This leaves a need of 15,000 dollars.

Rhonda and I and Pastor's Ron and Kay Rose leave for Nepal on January 23rd. Pastor KB emailed yesterday and said there are 1000 Nepalis waiting to take baptism. We are so excited to see the explosion of Christianity in Nepal! Thank you for all who have supported the work in Nepal over these 11years. We know the greatest harvest is yet to come! We want to prepare the storehouse for the harvest, would you prayerfully consider helping complete these church buildings for these wonderful people!

Need of More Church Buildings Immediately:
There are some churches who need church building desperately, and they are starting the work of their church building with their little savings. So they need our help on their efforts, so they could complete their church building in time and many more souls they could store and raised from these Church buildings. These church buildings are different in size, design, and cost. Read the following:
1) Full Gospel Church Dailekh-Church Building Under Construction: Size-36ft X 75 ft, metal roof, concrete wall and floor and metal roof with pipe truss and tin sheets. Estimated total cost is NRs. 2,000,000/- (equivalent to $ 25,000/- USD). They have started with available amount they have NRs. 664,000/- (equivalent to $ 8,300/- USD). Asking for our prayer support, so they could complete their church building. Dailekh is the strategic town for planting churches in north side mountain region. Five years ago this church has started with four people and now there are above 160 adult members and four village churches in different areas. Four years ago we could help them to buy the property for this church now the prise of this property is unbelievable and the location also becoming very prime.
2) Sandesh Church Lalpur (Rajapur Island, Bardiya): A very simple typed of building with tin sheet roof and wooden supports. It is estimated to cost NRs. 320,000/-(equivalent to $ 4,000/- USD).
3) Sandesh Church Loharula (Kapilvastu): This also going to be a very simple typed of building with tin sheet roof and wooden supports. It is estimated to cost NRs. 320,000/-(equivalent to $ 4,000/- USD).
4) Sandesh Church Gangdi (Dang): This also going to be a simple typed of building with tin sheet roof and wooden supports. It is estimated to cost NRs. 400,000/-(equivalent to $ 5,000/- USD).
III. New Fellowship/Service Started:
New Fellowships/Services have started in following places within second part of October and November:
1. Ganeshpur of Dang
2. Bhalufanta of Rajapur Island of Bardiya
3. Badalpur of Rajapur Island of Bardiya
4. Padnaha of Bardiya
5. Jogigaun of Bardiya
6. Khaireni of Bardiya
7. Gamgadi (District Headquarter) of Mugu

The Call

That which compels me to endure 14 hour plane rides, sit for hours waiting for the next plane, feel the anxiety of the unknown, and known is "The Call."

It is beyond what the world deems as normal. It overrides my wants and desires. It is undoubtedly the most powerful force in nature. That it would lead men and women to suffer beyond description is proof enough. "The Call" is all about death. You must die to yourself. As you do, then you will experience life as never before.

Jesus set the example. In His death, though only for a moment, brought life that we will never be able to fully comprehend in this present state. It is the life I am compelled to share. It is the life that leads me to the mountains of Nepal. It is the life that has given me such a wonderful wife and two exceptional daughters. Thank you, God, for sending your Son that we may have life! Thank you, God, for my family. Thank you, God, for "The Call."

Our trip to Israel was amazing. David said it best when he said, "The Word of God is now in color." No longer do we see the scriptures in black in white. Walking where Jesus walked and seeing all the place's we saw is life changing. I don't know how you can live there and not be a true believer in Jesus Christ. When we stood outside of Peter's house, I stood there alone for a while just imagining Jesus staying there with Peter and going there that day to heal Peter's mother-in-law. My feet tingled as I stood there talking to God.
When we took a boat out on the sea of Galilee, once again all I could think of was Peter and Jesus walking on that very water we were on.
My Dad was right when he spoke his last words of his life. "We serve an AWESOME God."
